Two iconic brands. One goal. And a million (mainly legal) hurdles in between.

When the House of Mouse returned to the Golden Arches for the first time in more than a decade, we knew we had to make it magical. Not just for the kids, but for their parents too.

We created Happy Together—a never-been-done-before collaboration between McDonald’s Happy Meal and another brand—to elevate family visits through holistically executed promotions across our digital and retail environments.

With this close-knit partnership, we rolled out the red carpet for some of Disney’s biggest properties like Toy Story 4, The Lion King, Frozen 2, and Star Wars by amplifying the core Happy Meal experience and giving everyone a reason to look in the box through the use of toy innovation, a collect-to-earn digital storefront, and a lot of chances to win exciting prizes from Disney.

So now, when families come to McDonald’s week after week, they know that getting a Disney Happy Meal means more than “just getting another toy.” It means they’ll enjoy a moment of pure togetherness to spark joy within each other.
